It was my privilege to be a panelist in BMJ South Asia Research Forum 2026, held on 5 September 2026 at Shangri-La Eros, New Delhi.
This Theme of the conclave was: “Driving Real-World Impact from Health Research”-“Future of Health Research in India.”
I represented the Rare Disease community in a session Community Voice Panel:
“Nothing About Us Without Us,”
It was a good occasion to bring the Rare Disease voice in a Community Health discussion alongside senior and distinguished Community or Public Health Champions

I was able to bring the attention of research need for Rare disease in absence of treatment to more than 95% conditions and why India need local research to produce low cost and sustainable treatment
The day long discussion was able to bring the focus on Health Care Policy, Infrastructure, Role of Private Institutions, and patient engagement etc.
